This song was written about a night I consider to be one of the worst of my life. I felt so much rage over a situation involving someone I love being hurt, and I just couldn't take all the emotion of it. I felt at the time that the problems she and I were going through were greater than the problems of most people, and I heard everyone else's problems with the world's tiniest violin playing just for them.
